Audrey Hepburn was a big fashion icon of her time so it is not a surprise people would ask her for beauty tips in the 50’s. She was a well known actress and humanitarian and when she was asked what are her best beauty tips she focused on inner beauty. It is true that ones personality can change his or hers attractiveness and Audrey saw this as the most important part of being a beautiful woman. She herself showed an example of these following tips by working with UNICEF and some of the poorest communities in the world. She listed her tips as followed:
-For attractive lips you are required to speak kind words.
-For lovely eyes seek the goodness in people.
-For a slim figure share your food with the hungry.
-For beautiful hair let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.
-And last but not least for poise: walk with the knowledge you’ never walk alone.
After these important inner beauty tips she continued:
“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed… Never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
